In our area we have 4 livestock auction markets, all very well run:

• Young bred cows: $2,000-2,400
• Middle aged: $1,500-1,700
• Grass steers: 400-450 $2.20 cwt. 500-550-$2.00 cwt.

Sheep sell at PAYS Billings Mt. or Fort Collins Co.:

• Lambs 60-85# $2.00 cwt. 100-125# $1.55-1.30 cwt.
• Goats are still where the money is 155#  $350 ea. 106# $250 ea.

Hay & Pasture

• Alfalfa hay has settled in $100-$125/ton range
• Pasture for lease seems to be quoted at $35/aum under good management
