Calf market is steady to stronger than last month.

In Billings, Montana:  500# steers $150 cwt, Heifer calves 500# $126 cwt and Alfalfa hay is steady at $100-$135/ton.

Down in Fort Collins, Colorado: Lambs steady market 100# $1.50-$1.70 cwt, good ole Goats selling strong 198#-$315 each, 112#-$235 each.

Its time to pay attention to cattle markets, as good young bred stock cows can be bought for $1500 each, as much as over $1000 less than last year. Might want to get into the market, this pencils very well for profits in 2017. Same with Bred ewes at $200 each.
